Why SGKit
exists

SGKit is a small collection of simple web tools for everyday life in Singapore. Figuring out the best way to use up your leave days, checking if a hawker centre is open, spotting HDB resale price trends, and more.

Most sites that do this already exist. But many try to do too much. From loading full interactive maps by default, or burying a simple answer behind several clicks of filters and dashboards. Great if you want to dig deep, but not when all you need is a quick answer, right at your fingertips.

That's the idea behind SGKit. Each tool does one job, shows you the answer at a glance, and gets out of your way. No clutter, no nonsense. Built by one person who got tired of digging through bloated pages for simple answers — less is more.

Leave Optimizer

Every year, the same scramble: figuring out which days to take off to stretch a handful of leave days into the longest possible break. Spreadsheets and manual counting got old fast. Leave Optimizer does the maths for you, built around the official public holiday list. Enter your leave days, get the best possible stretch, done.

Makan / No Makan

NEA's hawker centre site works, but it defaults to a full interactive map with every centre pinned. This can be heavy to load on mobile (not everyone owns the latest device, you know?), when the only thing you actually want to know is: open or closed, right now? Makan / No Makan skips the map. Just the status, at a glance.

Block Search

Property search sites have far more data and features than you'd ever need for a quick check. But that depth comes with more clicks and filters to dig through. Block Search is built for the opposite case: pull up a block, town, or price trends fast, without wading through a full property portal to get there.
